  hdv footage not showing in ae 6.5 comp

  Hey guys just captured hdv 720p to my premiere 1.5. Then I imported the footage and when I scrub through it on the ae timeline nothing shows up. I also import the pp prj into ae and nothing

  anyone else have this prob??

  AE 6.5 does not support HDV natively, neither does Premiere Pro 1.5. Maybe enclose it into a Quicktime container, if your capture device supports this. Time to upgrade, I guess ;o).

  Thanks! Why is it that you have the option for hdtv in the comp settings? I did just send it out uncompressed and that worked but that takes up space and time. So does anyone know of an extra plugin like the one I got for premiere?

  Huh? The definition of the HDTV formats is independent from HDV. HDV is just a compression method for delivering footage at HD resolutions, nothing more.

  … and other HD formats just happen to have the same frame size as HDV. That’s why that comp size exists: for the other formats.
