Hello folks. I have a friend who created a project with Premiere 6.0. I have the more powerful machine, so I had captured the footage for him, and am now going to render it and put it on disc. The problem has arisen, however, with the titles. Everything else transferred fine…but the titles do not match up. I can open the title file in PPro and expand the type box to reveal all of the letters, and I am aware the titlers are different…but it seems to be more than just size. He exported a screen grab of his project and sent it to me, and when I placed it on my project…they did not match up. His was much smaller, and I had to change the entire shape of his image, not just the size. We are both using the same project size and pixel ratio, I checked. Any ideas? I’d really like to be able to preserve his original cut, and not have to redo the titles myself. Thanks.

My first guess would be that the same typeface doesn’t exist on the new system. Double check the font list on the original machine and make sure the new machine has it.

…if you don’t have the original machine and you don’t remember what the typeface was…I’m afraid your only option is probably to redo the titles.

Thanks for the reply. Both machines do share the same font. It just all seems very out of wack. We are using Copperplate Gothic Bold…he saved his titles at size 18, but when I open it, they are size 21. And in order to frame the titles the same way he has, I have to shrink them down to roughly size 11. It’s not a huge dilema, just an annoyance, as I can just redo them…but I’d more like to know why…for future references.
