    hello-
i’m creating a demo reel- but my footage is a mix of both dvcam widescreen and older footage- which is standard.
using premiere 6.5 for the cut.
is it possible to mix the two on the timeline- and if so, how- when i capture the widescreen- naturally i am using the widescreen capture setting.
but then, for the standard- i use that setting.
i am assuming i have to do seperate captures- then import the footage into a new project?
i can select clips from the standard footage that will permit me to lay in the widescreen masking bars- but how do i set the setting to allow for both formats on the timeline with the edit windows?
    thanks much
    rp

You can capture both formats in the same project. The problems all occur when you put them in the timeline, but it’s really not that big of a deal.

Whether you’re using a widescreen timeline or a standard timeline, one of your types of clips are going to be out of proportion. You’ll probably need to scale (in 6.5, use the Distort > Transform effect, not the Motion properties) at least one dimension to fit within the dimensions of your project.
