I had an audio file which I used in a project. I accidenticaly deleted it from myu hard drive.
And now ofcourse Adobe Premiere Pro can’t find it.

I realised that I still have the conformed audio file, but how can I use it. It’s on my disk but I cant link to it.

I tryed open the conformed audio file in wave lab (audio editing tool) but It came out with a lot of noise.

    Any surgestions?

I wonder if you could change the extension manually to .wav?

Otherwise I assume you’ve tried importing it into PPro?

Yes nothing worked. I changed the extension to wav and imported it in wavelab to look at it, and it was filled with noise.
Adobe Premiere Pro couldn’t understand its own CAF.

    I donno what to do.

    Hmmm…

The file would be 32 bit at whatever the sample rate of your project is…so a DV project could have a 32 bit/48 Khz file.

Is there a way to specify in wavelab?

I don’t know. I’ll have a look this weekend. I think not though, but maybe I’m mistaken.
