  Can Smoke Read EDLS from Premier 6.5????

  Can Smoke Read EDLS from Premier 6.5????

  I have a project where I’m going to do the offline in premier 6.5. I wanto to know if I export the EDLS from premier, will Smoke read them, so the online will be faster in the smoke.

  yes, it can read, dont render any thing on time line. dissolves and associted clips may be a problem. good option is to take without dissolves or wipes

  or just open the printed edl and see if it shows time code from your tapes or aux timecodes starting in range from 00:00:00:00. it should show timecodes from your tapes only. aux timecodes are not upgradeble.

  cut only edl is safe bet
