  • Help with fuzzy text and jitters…

Posted by Movingvideo on August 26, 2005 at 3:02 am

I am using still photoshop files that are 300 dpi. When the timeline is rendered or exported, the text appears fuzzy…almost pixelated. It is not crisp and some parts of the edges appear to be missing. Also, on a completely still frame and image, the text appears to make tiny jitters. It may bounce slightly or go from black to a lighter gray and then black again…

    Thanks for any help,
    Adam

Great tips, but I think there is another issue with premiere. If you add a still, be it TGA, PSD, BMP..whatever, when premier renders it goes to crap. This may have something to do with the DV codec, but it most certainly goes way beyond it. I have found adding still images to the timeline containing text to be completely un-acceptable. Adding the a clip from say, after effects, of exactly the same image, but as an AVI, is fine. There’s something kooky cooking behind the scenes that screws the stills up.

Anybody else had this problem? I know I’m not being fussy!!!!

It could be that the wrong codec is being used by the system. I have seen situations where people needed to delete Premiere Pro, delete every codec on their system, and then reinstall.

I have also seen problems with test when people use the Canopus DVStorm2.

    Hello Brett…

    Did you solved the problem????

Im having the same problems.. But I cant find anything that helps searching in google…The only thing that I think is that because the AMD Athlon processor dont have SSE2 premiere pro 1.5 dont work fine with PSDs..

I have two machines one with Intel one with AMD. In Intel I have no problems with PSDs…

    Keep in touch.
    Bye
