I’m using Premiere Pro v. 1.5. I get the following error message for no apparent reason:

Disk Write Error: Verify drive connection, available disk
space and disk access privileges. Then save, close and
    relaunch project.

This happens only when I import a .wav file. If I ignore the message and go on editing, nothing unusual seems to happen; edits are good, SAVE etc. works, projects seem fine. The HD works fine, I have almost 2 GB space, and I can SAVE, PRINT, CLOSE, OPEN, etc.

Anyone have thoughts about what’s happening? Is there anything I ought to do?

(I haven’t tried another .wav file, since I’m working with this one (for backgrounds) on a project with a number a varied versions.)

Perhaps there is not enough room to conform the audio. 2GB of storage isn’t enough in the scheme of things to count for much. You need a LOT more than that for almost anything.
