  • Reformatted disk, reloaded Premiere, and playback is fast.

Hi, My motherboard went out, had a new one put in and they had to reformat the disk. Reloaded Premiere called up a project I had backed up and it plays real fast. When I click on the clip itself it plays fine. It only speeds when I play it in the sequence. It also acts erractic and repeats part of the clip. The clip plays fine in Media player also. I have no idea what to do. I’ve tried both editing modes Dv playback and video for windows and they both work badly. Any help would be appreciated,

    Thanks, Bill

IT can handle avi files with reduced quality but mpeg plays real fast. IT can.however, export a mpeg file correctly. So theres something in Premiere that can’t handle the interpetation of the mpeg file. Why can’t it play an mpeg made in after effects? also after effects can’t output a mpeg file when I try I only get audio. I really need some input. Thanks

Pro cant edit mpeg files without the Main Conncept plug-in. Export from AE as DV or uncompressed.
