    Hi Again…

    Hate to be a pain…

how do switch focus from source to record from the keybaord? (edit used the N key and Avid uses the Esc key)

Every time I lay an edit and want to review…seems I have to click the record side (or timeline) with the mouse to make it pactive before reviewing…

I’m not complaining….just want tknow if I can make it faster?

    Thanks…

I have asked a similar thing everywhere and eventually put in a feature request for it. In my case I would like to toggle from Source Window to Timeline Window. Your preference would work for me just as well.

The keyboard shortcuts should allow the user to direct (toggle) focus to the window of choice.

    Good luck.

The easiest option for switching between Source/Timeline I’ve found is Ctrl + Tab… as long as you don’t have too many windows open in PPro.

You’ll find a very useful list of PPro keyboard shortcuts at https://siliconbaymedia.com/permiere-pro-1-5-keyshortcuts-v2a.pdf

Problem with those shortcuts are they Cycle through the open windows. They do not toggle back and forth as per my workflow.

Adding SHIFT reverses the direction of CTRL+TAB, which helps.

Have you tried using Keyboard Customisation to generate specific shortcuts for each relevant entry in the Window list?
