    Hi,

Completely new to AE but need to add coloured circles to a 30 second video. I can add shape layers that give me th ecircles where I need them, but when I play the video they all disappear after 2 seconds. I’m ashamed to say I cannot work out how to make them last the whole clip.

I’m planning on rotoscoping a person so the circles appear on a layer beneath the person (I hope that makes sense). The rotoscoping part actually seems fine so far…but the shape layers… not a clue!

    Thanks for any advice!

The shape layers would normally be created as equaling the length of the composition, but if not simply drag the end of the layer to the end of the composition.

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for the quick reply! Something definitely went wrong for me as the timeline seemed to run the length of the clip (for each shape layer) but still ended quickly. I’ll start from scratch and see if it behaves differently. I must have changed something accidentally?!

    I might be back…

    Thanks again!
