  Text Auto Margins

  Hi y’all,

  So I’m working on a UI template that is chat based. I set up a master control to easily change the name of user 1 for example without having to change every text box in a precomp. I encountered a challenge where the username has a timestamp (which changes) next to it, and I’m wondering if there is a way to have the two text boxes interactive in a way that retains the space between them.

  I attached an image for quick reference. For instance, if I change the contents of a text to a longer one, can the time stamp next be auto positioned?

  I just made a tutorial for creating a text box that will automatically adjust itself to the size of the text, I think It basically does what you want.
