  • Problem when I import pictures – they are just a black box!

Dear friends, when I try and import pictures in After Effects, they are all of a sudden just a black box. I’ve tried with a new project, tried on old ones and it’s all the same. You can see in the attached picture what I am talking about. Can somebody help me, please? Do you have an idea of what may have gone wrong? Thanks in advance!

Is that jpg saved in CMYK by any chance? Try converting it to RGB

Thank you so much for replying to my post. Unfortunately, this is what happens with absolutely every picture that I try to import. It happened suddenly and I don’t know what to do.

Does the image open properly in photoshop? If so can you save it save it as a psd or resave it from photoshop as a jpeg and try to reimport that. See if that opens properly.

Is this only happening on images that are Jpegs? Try some other file formats like .png or .tiffs.
