I want to cover a piece of footage and I want to put on it gradient
so I tried with the gradient ramp the white piece to be transparent
    but I couldn’t do it.

anyone have an Idea how to feather the gradient or control his scale?

    Hey Nitai,

you can do it easily by applying layer styles gradient – it has more flexibility.

Select the layer, right click > Layer Styles > Gradient Overlay

Then, at colors section, choose ‘Edit Gradient’. Markers at the top of color band controls opacity.

Another way to do it is to use 2 solids, make one one color and the other another color. Then use a feathered mask to blend between.

    Nitai,

yes you can. Simply said, at the top of the bar, markers controls colors params – opacity and location. Select it, and then opacity option will reveal at the bottom as in the image below.
