So I’ve been using AE for a while now, mostly to compile my 3D renders from Maya or 3DS Max. However, just recently I’ve tried to render an mp4 from a png sequence I rendered out of Maya, and the final video comes out looking like picture 1 below. Picture 2 is what it looks like in the picture viewer. What the heck is happening here and how can I fix it?? I would appreciate any advice!

its obvious to me that its somehow choosing the top camera to render from. But why?

Take look at the PNG’s in the Interpret panel. Maybe you’ve a rogue alpha or premultiply setting.

It does seem like its defaulting to the top view but I can’t imagine why it would do that. Try adding a camera and making it the top layer maybe that will get AE rendering from the right view.
