How to make these fluid text animations
Hey guys, I’m looking for a way to reproduce fluid/wavy text animation.
What I’m talking about:
First example
Almost throughout this whole video, the text appears ‘wavy’ and I find it very pleasing to look at. You can see it very well at 0:56 with the word “believing” and then at 1:03 as well.
Second example
Another similar thing is done in this video. You can see it on the text “now the” at 0:56 and “down low” just a few seconds after. I also wonder how you can make the text come up on the screen so fluidly as it does at 1:55 with “Daddy……”
Is there a plug-in that can do this? I doubt this is done with only stock After Effects. In my eyes, if there is such a plug-in, I think these two videos are both using it, albeit a bit differently. I’ve looked around for a plug-in/script with text animations like these but found none.

The first one is using a pond ripple effect plus some other blurring and levels. The second one is using text animators (possibly a preset with an expression selector to move one letter at a time) with an overshoot. Both can be done without plugins.
