So, I’m trying to animate these subtitles in AE and I haven’t found anything on the web to help me speed up the process. My client wants the words to appear as there spoken. I did find that an older version of of Premiere could analyze the audio and allow me to import the footage with tags where each word is spoken. I’m not sure if that would help or not. Either way I ddin’t have time to find and install that version of premiere just to try it out. I do have more of these though, so if anyone has any tips or advice on how to speed up the process, I’d greatly appreciate it.

You should check out the TypeArray preset (from Paul Slemmer). You can preview the audio with ” , ” and then just add markers as it plays out with ” * ” . The preset animates each word with each marker added.

Edit: the preset is Name Your Own Price. So maybe throw a few bucks his way if it helps you.
