Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Can AE text have a gradient? (or should I say how?)

    I suggest you head on broadcastGEMs and click on the Freebies/Download link at the top menu. Once you’re in the Freebies page, look for links to download Text presets. You’ll get to see some nice stuff that should interest you.

    There are a couple of ways to achieve this:
    1. Use the Ramp Effect (EFFECT > GENERATE > RAMP). This is only a two color gradient.
    2. Make the text 3D and use a colored light.
    3. Use a plugin like Zaxwerks “The Works Vol 1” which has a great gradient effect.
