How to make 3D rocks/stones to start shaking and floating in air
Hey,
I am creating a short film and in one scene i need a shot in which subject’s feet and ground is visible and on the ground I need to place 3D stones and animate them to raise up in air (Like without gravity) and start floating while shaking a bit at the same time. Any ideas how to accomplish this?

If you want it to look good and real you should ask in any other forum that’s dedicated to any 3d Application. Cinema 4d, 3ds Max, Maya…
You could do in AE with plugins, but really why would you…If you’ll need to create the models in a 3d app, just render it there. Its easier to adjust lightning and shadows.

You can use a particle system like Element 3D or Particular to get a decent looking effect. I would start there. I think Element 3D even comes with some textured 3D rock models.
