Analysis of the effects in a music video
Hi everyone.
I was sent a link to a music video as reference for the sort of thing some people are after in their own video. I don’t know the extent to which they want to emulate this, or which specific aspects they want to draw inspiration from but I can see it’s effect laden and want to break down what sorts of things would be involved so I can see which elements are and aren’t feasible for my own skill level and might need to be outsourced. I’m an editor by trade with some VFX ability, but not a specialist in that area and may need to advise them to bring a VFX artist on board as well.
The link is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEG2VTHS9yg
Specifically what intrigues me the most is the transitioning effect occurring at
00:37
01:15
01:44It is used many times throughout and particularly extensively at 4:50. But the whole thing is interesting, I feel like I have some idea for most of it, but don’t want to be overconfident.
If anyone feels like donating their time with this aspect it’s much appreciated.
Cheers
James
