  ripple delete

  hello everyone so I’m using ripple delete but I’m just trying to delete a scene and it keeps deleting the audio even if I’m not selecting to delete it together, any solutions?

  Hey!

  Yeah, this is usually caused by the video and audio events being grouped together. VEGAS automatically groups the audio and video from the same media, so when you delete/ripple one, the other can get affected too.

  If you only want to remove the video, try right-clicking the video event and choosing Group > Remove From, or temporarily enable Ignore Event Grouping. Then delete the video event and use Auto Ripple to close the gap.

  Just be careful with Auto Ripple: if it’s set to “All Tracks, Markers, and Regions,” it will move/delete material across all tracks. If you only want certain tracks affected, choose the appropriate ripple mode from the Auto Ripple dropdown.
