Freedman Labs Releases PrepMyMedia and ViewMyAttic for Post Production Professionals – 50% off for COWs!
From the creators of WatchMyEdit come two new Mac applications designed to solve common post production workflow challenges: PrepMyMedia and ViewMyAttic.
Built by assistant editor Andrew Freedman, both applications were created to address issues frequently encountered in professional editing environments.

PrepMyMedia helps editors prepare media before it reaches an NLE by cleaning up problematic filenames. The application removes unsupported characters, emojis, and other naming issues that can create ingest, relinking, and organizational challenges during post production.

ViewMyAttic is designed specifically for Avid Media Composer users. The application provides a streamlined way to browse and manage the Avid Media Composer Attic, making it easier to locate and restore autosaves and previous project versions without manually searching through system folders.

“PrepMyMedia and ViewMyAttic were both created to solve specific problems I’ve encountered while working in post production,” said Andrew Freedman.
“After developing WatchMyEdit, I continued looking for areas of friction in my workflow. PrepMyMedia was born when I had to go through a ton of improperly named archival that wouldn’t ingest correctly. ViewMyAttic came to be when an editor I worked for had trouble finding a bin he lost,” he said.
Both applications are available through the Mac App Store and directly through the Freedman Labs site, freedmanlabs.com. Creative COW users can receive 50% off using the coupon code CREATIVECOW.
The Creative COW discount will be available through the end of August, 2026.
