I’m needing to fly an arrow around a logo, w/ a very limited time budget. I figured I’d do it w/ CC Cylinder, but the problem is the Z-depth… If I make the radius large enough to stretch the width of the logo, the arrow is moving too close to the viewer in the foreground and too far in the background. Is there anyway to get this effect to work in an oblong orbit, or a squashed cylinder so to speak?

Of course, I’m open to alternative suggestions as well.

    Thanks,
    Tommy

You could mess with the x scale of the layer.
You could make the arrow animation flow over a cylinder in C4D Lite and just mess with the cylinder’s shape in C4D.
You could also do the animation on two separate layers one behind and one in front. Sandwich your logo in between.
