    Hi editors,

I’m working on a video project where I want to add a smooth particle-based transition — something like a swirl of particles that moves from one scene to the next, kind of like a wave or digital dust.

I know Adobe After Effects is typically used for these kinds of effects, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to achieve this directly in Premiere Pro using native effects or built-in transitions?

I’ve played around with some overlay stock and blend modes, but it doesn’t feel dynamic or customizable enough. Ideally, I want something that flows with the motion of the clip — maybe with some direction or curve.

Has anyone managed to build a custom particle transition in Premiere without using After Effects or third-party plugins?

Any tips, presets, or techniques that could help me fake the look would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!
