  • Line by Line Text Animation for MOGRT with Speed Slider

Does anyone know how to write an expression to create a MOGRT of this (attached) text animation? I would like each line to animate on one by one from the bottom, and I’ve used an anchor point expression to ensure any new type entered into the box appears this way, but when I try to use a Range Selector in the Opacity Animator to programme this, the text just appears line by line from the top. Is anyone able to help with this please? I would also like for whoever is editing it to be able to adjust the speed in Premiere using a Slider Control, but I’m not sure how to code this either. Thanks!

sure i’ll code this for you, before doing it, lemme ask:

    – do you need it to be always 6 lines?

Thank you John! No, it would need to be any amount up to 6 lines. Is there a way to make it so this is adjustable too?

yes there’s a way. do you need to also choose a custom distance between lines or just line the example?

Just like in the example is fine, there’s no need to change the line distance

Thank you, I really appreciate the help! Sorry to ask, but would it actually be possible to have a version where you can adjust the line spacing too after all please? I’ve just tried it with a comma, and there’s an overlap. Unless this is something that is covered in the tutorial, in which case I can have a go with it 🙂

Thank you so much for this!! Annoyingly I’m getting an error message when I convert the .mogrt files into a .aep format to try to open the project though. Would you mind sending it over so I can change the font, and have a look at adjusting it please? (To be clear, I mean the actual After Effects project).

you can already change the font from premiere, when expanding “lines”, you see the font option for every single line, if that’s still not enough: open AE, then File, then Open Project, then select the mogrt, done.

    You’re welcome!
