  • Sliding rows and columns of a grid of circles

I can’t seem to figure out the most seamless way of doing this.

I have a grid of circles

I want to have a couple of columns slide on their y pos and pause

And then have a couple of rows slide on their x and pause

    Repeat a few times

Is there a way to have a slider control with rows or columns?

It depends how you have generated the grid, I think if you have used Shape layers and repeaters to generate your grid, then I’d look at using Shape Repeater Baker to convert the repeaters into individual shapes.

Obviouisly if you have all your circles on their own layers already, then you could use either the displacement map effect or Michael Tierney’s promixity expression to displace. In his video he uses this on scale, but you could add this to position instead.

I think the MographAE script can do this.
