  Basically Gradient along stroke

  Hi All,

  I know this is not possible in the strictess sense of the title but I’m trying to achieve something similar to the image. I want to be able to change the length of opacity gradient the ring to be smaller and larger through time.

  

  I’ve used a generate stroke as an alpha while it does work it doesn’t allow me to alter the length of the gradient opacity.

  try the circle effect and set the edge property to ‘thickness’ to make a ring. then add the radial wipe effect.

  make sure the both effects have the same center position value, and then scrub the radial wipe completion property a bit and increase the feather property so see if that can do what you need.
