  After Effects CC2018 performance.

  Hello there I have After Effects CC2018 and I am doing some very light work on it. However, the preview cannot hold frames. If I have for example video on one layer the music starts playing slow and choppy. If I do the simplest effect, adding glow to text it crawls.
  My computer is cpu 5820k, 16gb Ram, Vga nvidia 960. My main ssd is Samsung 850 Evo. My small ssd that I used as a cache drive died recently. My footage is on normal hard drives. What of these needs upgrade? Because it crawls even to the most basic stuff.

  Hello, let me update on the subject. Just a moments before I loaded a premiere pro project file inside AE. Only a small 1080 video take from iphone with music. Even that cannot played back properly. After 2 secs, first the music starts playing in slow motion and then the whole video.
  To answer your first question, I press spacebar and it loads while playing back. I am not new, I know the basics but because of that slow speed I try to avoid fancy things on AE.
