  • Pre-Rendering format?

Posted by Michael Dominic on October 20, 2017 at 12:54 pm

My computer just can’t get through the export in Premiere a film that I have remastered.

I need to pre-render each scene that is dynamically linked in AE.

By default the video format for pre rendering is set to Animation. My end project will be ProRes. Should I pretender in ProRes?

I don’t want to lose any quality and I wan’t to avoid artifacting at all costs.

The original video is captured from DV and uprezzed to 1080, then color corrected in AE.

    Thanks.

OR, is is better to render and replace in Premiere?

I generally never have the need to pre render because the graphic work I do is generally worked on until the final export (and then often times after).

The CC is complete. Now I just need to pre-render. Which is the best way?

Yes, render and replace in Premiere.

Ah, no. I think I should explain my workflow better.

The project started in Premier. To color correct each scene I sent them by dynamic link to after effects.

When I try to export the entire sequence from Premier in Adobe media encoder, at some point whether it be 5 or 15 hours it hangs or crashes.

I did a test and pre-rendered one scene in after effects and it moves much more quickly through AME.
