    i tried AE2017 cc v 14.2.1.34
    and AE2014 cc

and it has the same problem
the composition panel gets frozen as it appears in this image

it first show all in white then when i tried to resize the panels it shows this repeat pannel that mean it’s frozen
the rest of the program is normal all panels and menus

i tried uninstalling and reinstalling my graphics and it didn’t solve the problem
this happens with any project once i open the software even if there is no new comp is created
i don’t know what to do and i have serious deadlines and i really hope there is a solution other than installing a new windows
    i hope someone can help
this is saved from dxdiag.exe that shows my sys info

Troubleshooting tip #1: reset your preferences. Hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift while Ae is launching.

If that doesn’t work, try disabling hardware acceleration of the UI. Edit > Preferences > Display, then uncheck “Hardware Accelerate Composition, Layer, and Footage Panels.”

    thank you for the tips
    it didn’t solve the problem
but while stretching/resizing the panel it worked at specific sizes and go back to be frozen in other sizes but the program shows unusual delay in performance than usual like when i type in search in the project files panel or the effects panel it takes 2 seconds of total freezing of the software and every time i switch from cop to another i have to resize the panel to get it to work at some point
the same problem in Photoshop too

Do you have Teamviewer running by any chance?

    not even installed
i thing it is something related to my graphic drivers or windows updates
i will have to reset the system
it just happened to google chrome browser too
i have never seen anything like this
and i am afraid it would happen again as i don’t know the reason yet and i will probably have the same drivers and updates again when i reset the windows and re install all my software ????????

[ali brakat] “i thing it is something related to my graphic drivers or windows updates”

I had to manually install the latest NVIDIA graphics drivers after a recent Windows update to get full functionality back on a couple of our systems.
