  • Pen Tool Stroke offset and align to each other

I used the pen tool to draw an s shaped line and duplicated the shape 1 in contents multiple times to offset them in the content transform controls. I’m trying to perfectly align 4 stroke lines along each other. It will align correctly in some spots but when the lines bend at the curve they lose their alignment to each other. I feel like what I need to do is create an expression and pick whip the content transform positions to each other. Has anyone done this before and know what that expression math would be?

Instead of duplicating, could you use a Repeater, I think that might solve the problem for you.

If not, if you could post a screenshot of the whole of AE, it might be easier to spot the issue.

Thanks for replying, I appreciate it. I tried the repeater initially too but it doesn’t work. The host spline path is very organic in shape and has many different direction of turns, which screws up the offset or repeater. I think what I have to do is instead of trying to make one large spline path, I need to make several shorter ones that just have only one turn/arch.
