Get Name of Text Animator?
I’m trying to get the NAME of an animation preset from within its Range Selector. Seems doable, but I can’t make it work.
I’ve given up at “thisProperty.propertyGroup(3)(1).name”
I think there is a hidden group name of “Animators”??

I think you’re close. I think it’s:
thisProperty.propertyGroup(3).name.length
I believe there is a hidden Selectors group in there.

When trying to suss out the property hierarchies for text and shape layers, I always grab Jeff Almasol’s wonderful rd_GimmePropPath.jsx script. I don’t know if it’s still available anywhere, but I use it all the time.
