  • SCRIPT – Triggering a preview of the active composition

Posted by Olivia Fitzgerald on April 7, 2023 at 12:43 am

Hi! I’m working on setting up a script that makes a process easier for someone with a wrist injury that would usually involve a lot of clicking and dragging and scrubbing audio.

Essentially, I need a button that when clicked on a script UI window, causes changes to the active composition, and then it immediately plays the ram preview once.

I’m able to set exactly where I need the in and out duration to be and manipulate the settings, but everything I’ve found about actually triggering the composition’s preview doesn’t seem to work.

Is there not a function that just hits play? Could there be an alternative that has the script preview the audio around the active time?

    Thanks.
