Tips: Artificial intelligence and AE Expressions (e.g. ChatGPT)
Hi,
A tip and free resource for everyone who uses AE. For poor coders like me I found that ChatGPT (Open AI) is an excellent tool to help me find answer for simple expression questions.
Google, online code services like jsfiddle or forums like Creative Cow are still excellent, but chatgpt adds nicely to the available resources, Scary and mind boggling at the same time.

I was surprised when I tried out ChatGPT that it knew what Adobe ExtendScript was, and even funnier was when I asked it to refine the code, it got sassy! lol
But also a word of caution, its code is not always right, even in common code languages, but it can at least get you down the right path.. AI learning has a lot of potential tho and it’s pretty exciting

Agree, Royce! It comes with a cation, still a nice addition to other help resources. But error free….nope 😇

I don’t really trust ChatGPT. But it can really help sometimes. Who knows what the future holds for us…

My advice would be to be very careful. My experience is that ChatGPT writes bad code and when in doubt, it will just make stuff up (hallucinations). It has no way to test its code so be sure to test thoroughly before using. Also, if you’re going to post the code in a forum like this one, be sure to clearly identify that it came from a chatbot so folks can be appropriately cautious.
