How to create out of body effect ?
Hello guys,
Im looking to create an out of body effect in video most probably with After Fx i imagine. The situation would be this one :
The inanimate body is lying on the floor, while we still see the body on the floor, we can see the soul, spirit, etc almost ghost like and transparent… standing up and leaving the body. I hope that makes sense. Any links to good tutorials would be gladly appreciated.

If the ghost is simply going to stand up and walk away the easiest method would be to film two video sequences with a locked-off camera — one with the body remaining motionless, and the second with the body standing up and walking away. In any video editing program, or AE, place the second video over the first and decrease its opacity.
If you want to be able to apply other effects to the ghost body you will need to separate it from the background by either rotoscoping it or filming it in front of a green screen.
