Activity Forums Adobe After Effects How can i add light to text opacity transition like this ?!

    What light are you talking about? I see the transition come in with large blur and dissolve out with a large blur.

    Sorry, i’m new in after effects, So i can’t explain very well

    How can i do a large blur like this ?!

    Wow…why dont you learn the basics of after effects before coming on here…Your telling us you dont know how to use a blur or change the opacity..that means you know nothing…nothing at all.

    Hi Bedo, there are blur effects which you add to your text layer, and the text layer has an opacity setting which you can keyframe. If this makes no sense then go through these very old but very short basic tutorials so you get some idea of how the program works:

    after these you should be able to do the effect you want – and a lot more.

    There is also an extremely good series of beginners tutorials by Andrew Devis here on Creative cow which go into more detail.
