  Custom Resolution and Preview Options

  Running Resolve 17 Studio with the older UltraStudio 4K, Eizo CG247X, and Mac Pro.

  I ran into this issue before but can’t find the fix.

  I want to preview custom resolution (Zcam and Aivascope 1.5x) at 3840×1620 but can’t seem to set it to go full screen cropped on the display.
  It scales up with no controls on the amount.

  I was able to do this before but now I’m lost.

  I’ve tried everything in the Project Settings.

  Google and manuals scoured for hours.

  Help me Obi-Wan….

  Under settings >image Scale> mismatched.. you have various choices to scale, stretch, crop or centre punch. It’s hard to trouble shoot without seeing a screen grab of your main settings page and the image scale page. Do your project settings pixel aspect match the file format or are you trying to scale to a standard frame setting? If the later then you will need to play with those mismatched settings to get the one that works. With anamorphic you might also have to manually scale the de-squeeze after getting the right setting.

  Thanks, Michael for your tip.

  Getting old here and forgetting to check off “Match timeline settings” and set it to HD.

  That worked for me 🙂

  Uggh somethings up.

  I managed to fix the display issue with the anamorphic and 4K DCI (23.98) project but can’t seem to get the 4K DCI (using 59.94 as frame rate) to view in HD mode via UltraStudio 4K 🙁
