How to find the empty obj. coordinates w/ displacement and rotation animations
I would like to know how to find the coordinates of an empty object parented with displacement and rotation animations in a composition.
The small circle is the parent of the empty object. The coordinates of the empty object are relative to the coordinates of the small circle. The value remains unchanged. I want to add a write on effect, and I need to find out the coordinates of the empty object that changes during composition.
The ultimate goal is to make a Spirograph animation, which is just one step away

When you say “empty object” are you talking about a null layer? If so, then I think you just need something like this:
L = thisComp.layer("Null 1");
L.toComp(L.anchorPoint) -

I found that this expression can also be written like this:
var parentLayer = thisComp.layer(“smallCircle”);
var childLayerPosition = thisComp.layer(“childNull”)(“Transform”)(“Position”);
parentLayer.toComp(childLayerPosition)

Or like this:
L = thisComp.layer("childNull");
L.parent.toComp(L.position)
