Help with blending/transitioning backgrounds from two different projects.
I’m using after effects to make a short slideshow. But the intro has a black background. The problem is the next scene has a gray background with a gradient that looks like a shadow. What I wanna do is transition from the black background to the new grayish background. What would be the way best way of doing this? I might be able to just use opacity, but I don’t know how professional that will look. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

I’d use opacity – but when you say “professional” ar you wanting something more interesting? Check out the transition effects or even some of the transition presets.
