  Erasing Land from the Ocean

  My goal is to remove the land from the horizon so it looks like my rowboat is in the middle of the ocean. So when the camera pans 360 it’s just horizon-to-horizon water. I imagine this will get complicated because of the camera movement. Thoughts on how to go about this in Premier? I hope it’s not a job for After Effects.

  Hey Greg,

  It is a pretty straight coast line. So a Mask and a wipe might do it for you.
  Or, should I say multiple masks and loads and loads of time…

  However, I would suggest you look at using BorisFX Mocha within PPro.

  Or, take a big dive into the unknown and use “Content Aware fill” in either – as I found, once you have used it, there is NO going back:

  Or use Photo shop to generate background plates for you, also using Content Aware Fill:
