FiLMiC Pro Cinema Camera for Mobile Devices to Integrate with Frame.io Camera-to-Cloud Service
Collaboration Extends FiLMiC’s Signature Mobile Cinematography Camera to Global Community of Adobe Creative Cloud and Frame.io Content Creators with Professional Cloud-Based Collaborative Workflow
FiLMiC Inc. today announced it has partnered with Frame.io, now an Adobe company, to integrate FiLMiC Pro, the Company’s premier cinema camera for iOS and Android devices with the Frame.io Camera-to-Cloud (C2C) service, the secure cloud-based workflow that enables content creators to instantly upload video from on-set cameras to creative post-production teams anywhere in the world.
FiLMiC is adding full support for Frame.io C2C workflow, making FiLMiC Pro the first cinema camera for mobile devices to become Frame.io C2C-compatible. Additionally, as a result of this integration, the global community of Adobe Creative Cloud and Frame.io artists will now be able to take advantage of this powerful new mobile production workflow, ushering in a new era of professional mobile cinematography.
Beginning today, FiLMiC Pro support for Frame.io will be added to the FiLMiC Pro Cinematographer Kit, which is available as an in-app purchase from FiLMiC.
FiLMiC Pro and Frame.io C2C: How it Works
Camera to Cloud by Frame.io is the fastest and easiest way to get footage from a camera to a creative team of collaborators — anywhere in the world. Now with FiLMiC support for Frame.io integrated directly into the app on a mobile device, filmmakers can simply generate low-bandwidth proxy versions of a FiLMiC Pro clip and upload it directly to the cloud.
From there, it is instantly available to teams of collaborators directly within Frame.io. This provides massive time-saving benefits while shooting on set; editors, producers, colorists and even sound designers can begin working footage in near real time.
