Hello and good day everyone! I am in need of some help with the saber effect and I am unable to find an online tutorial with the information I need. I have attached a screenshot as reference. I am having trouble keeping depth to the saber when I enlarge the core to cover the practical saber. I tried every adjustment and combo I could for almost a full day before I had to stop. I simply cannot find settings that look good on a large saber core. I have closer shots that the same issue needs to be fixed on as well. Thanks in advance everyone!

Thank you for the response, but I am using the saber plug in. The settings are shown in the image so I can be advised how to tweak for best result

sorry, the screenshot is small. what do you mean by issues with “depth” and is this a technical issue where the plugin can’t handle covering large objects or is it an artist questions. since art is subjective, it would be hard to answer without an example. you may also want to post in the videocopilot forum here and on his blog for the videos. but if you wanted a general impression, everything looks better in linear light compositing, especially blurs. and you can try 32bpc glows.

these are the sliders to tweak I think, make the rest saber larger than you need and then mess with the end/ start size?
