LINK SPLINE (HELIX) ANIMATION TO A POLYGON OBJECT
Hi, I have animated a Helix spline with a formula and a field (for a guitar string) and I’ve used the sweep generator to get the different string thickness. but I have been asked to apply a very specific material detail which I will make in Substance painter so my issue is to UV unwrap the sweep which I assume it must be make editable in order to do it but once the it is editable the formula animation is lost. I have tried to child the spline animation to the polygon object and still it is not working. Is there any way I can link the spline animation to the polygon object? or can anyone advise the best way to do it? I am using the animation on a third party engine for a real time project so I can’t rely on the UV’s material projection from Cinema. Thank you
