  Need help with outlines!

  Hey all,

  Long time lurker, first time posting! First of all, thank you everyone for keeping me employed aha!

  So I am making a logo animation. Been sent the design but need to make both a ‘solid’ and ‘outline’ version.

  I’m using alpha mattes to create the splintered look, but if I try and do the outline version it’s missing the lines between each of the alpha masks.. if that makes sense? I added pictures as it’s easier to show than explain. The blue outline is the desired looked.

  Any help would be incredible!

  Why not use actual shapes?
  Do you have these elements in Adobe Illustrator?

  Make layers for each element required in AI then import as Composition.

  If need be, create an OUTLINE for each shape/element as needed.

  I guess the way it moves made more sense to recreate the design with the letter, but yeah that’s not a bad shout. I’ll ask the guy for the AI files.
