  Single frames of grey in timeline when copied and pasted.

  I’m a finishing editor on a TV and when I get projects from our other editor and copy them into new timelines, these grey spaces appear which makes everything on the upper layer out of sync. Any idea why this is happening?

  Sounds to me like you’re copying from one timebase to a different timebase. Doing so will introduce gaps like you’re describing.
