  Bible Verse Dynamic Timeline Slider

  Hi All –

  I’m trying to build or find a solution to using titles (i.e. Genesis-Revelation) instead of years. I’m using the Dynamic Timeline Slider tutorial on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crFgP3pkUOc&list=PLJqn8ZTph9SBigCzOtP6J55FnLOsgB0KH

   

  For Start Value and End Value it’s easy-enough to use numbers, but how would I sub a list of titles?

  I didn’t watch the video, but one way you could do it is to put your entire list into an array. Then have the slider just return the index number of the array(remember indexes start with 0).

  Something like this:

  myText = [“orange”, “lemon”, “apple”, “grape”];

  myChoice = thisComp.layer(“Null 1”).effect(“Slider Control”)(“Slider”);

  myText[myChoice]
