How to create this effect in FCPX?
I cannot upload a screen recording but essentially the emblem moves from the original location(first pic) to floating in mid air (2nd pic) and back to the original location (3rd Pic) Does this require a plug in or can I achieve this effect with only FCPX

Looks like CG.
Not sure if that’s possible to produce within FCPX.
Maybe to edit it together that’s about it.

Judging by the ‘floating’ emblem, it looks like there’s a second instance of the original video stacked on top, with a shape mask applied to the emblem on the upper copy. It was probably then keyframed for scale and offset, and back again. Additional mask on the original around the emblem to bring the opacity / brightness down so it’s in ‘shadow’. Shouldn’t be too difficult.

I wouldn’t do it in FCPX, but rather in Apple Motion, then import to FCPX.
There’s third-party products from Motion VFX that will let you make and import CGI objects into Motion and FCPX.
