  360 Export at full res as an MP4

  I need to export a 360 video as an mp4 but when I select this option from the share menu, it reduces the size of the file dimensions by over half, giving me only a 1920×1080 size.

  How can I get the full resolution (as it displays with the ‘video and audio’ setting) but with the MP4 container?

  I’d recommend exporting a master file (defaults to the timeline dimensions) as ProRes, and work with that file in Compressor to zero in on the desired output.

  I don’t have compressor, what I did in this instance to preview and test the file on an Oculus headset was just the rename file extension trick. Everything worked fine and I kept the original resolution just frustrating that the file is almost 10 gig for a short VR tour!

  I ended up taking it into Premiere where I was able to deal with it properly in the end to reduce it down to 900mb. I guess this is good old Apple forcing me to buy another thing.
