  • How to prevent multicam audio from switching?

    Hello,

In the old version of Avid, when you pressed the up or down arrow key, only the video of a multicam (multi)group clip would change (for example from Cam A to Cam B) and it didn’t matter which tracks you had selected in your timeline.

I noticed that in the newer versions of Avid this has changed. If your video track (for example V1) is not selected and you press the up/down arrow key, the first audio track that is selected (A1) changes (for example from external sound to Cam A sound).

I don’t want that to happen, since I want to always leave audio as it is for all the (multi)group clips, because the audio from an external audio recording device is the only one that I will ever use.

Is it possible to turn this off? To somehow make Avid switch only between the video clips of a (multi)group clip regardless of which tracks in timeline are selected?

    Best regards,

    Juan
