Premiere Pro exports produce corrupted/out of sync audio in Quicktime Player
Hello, first posting here.
I’m having a problem with Premiere via Quicktime. I’ve been editing long (1 hr+) Zoom sessions for a local university. I receive the files in mp4, convert them to Quicktime ProRes 422, and match all the source settings to my export settings (H.264, optimized for YouTube). Everything is 16-bit, 48K. The problem is, when I open the exported files in Quicktime, the audio will be out of sync (and not consistently–i.e. parts will play out of sync, then when you scrub back and play them again, they are back in sync). The files play fine in other programs (Logic, re-imported into Premiere, After Effects etc). And it’s not just my machine, my girlfriend played the file on her computer and the audio was corrupted as well. Also, when I upload the videos to Google Drive, Box, or another host, they play fine. Seems like it’s only Quicktime that has a problem. And it also seems like the longer the video, the worse it gets. Has anyone experienced this, or have ideas why it would be happening?
