    Hey All!

    Been going around the bend trying to figure this one out, any help is very much appreciated!

    So I have an idea;

    I want 2 semicircles to trim path in and then I basically want to take out the intersecting parts of those semicircles out. I also have additional shapes that will intersect the path of the circles which I will also like to take out.

    As an added difficulty factor, I wish to animate the corners of the paths to be rounded off while animating the subtraction of the intersections.

    I had tried using Trim Paths, Shape Layers, Masks and even overlapping few shapes on top opf each other and animating the vertices but the results are always very underwhelming. And the main problem is that because the main shape is a circle, when you animate the vertices of the path, its very difficult to capture the natural movement of the circle.

    Hopefully this made sense. If not, I am hopeful of the screenshots.

    I have the shapes ready to go in Illustrator. Attaching as a screenshot.

    As mentioned above, any help is extremely appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Take a look at the difference layer transfer mode.

    Make sure both circle shapes are on different layers and white, and set background to white as well. Then use the Difference transfer mode on both circle layers.

    Oh I had no idea we can animate a Blending Option. I had tried that previously.

    But the thing is this needs to happen over time.

    Attaching another screenshot to explain the process better than my words.
